Passion for Polo will be the highest on the world’s highest Polo ground. Every year, Shandur (3,734 meters) invite visitors to experience a traditional polo tournament between the teams of Chitral and Gilgit from 7th to 9th July. The festival also includes folk music, folk dance, traditional sports and a camping village is be set up on the Pass.

Itinerary:

Day 1: Arrive at the airport in Islamabad our staff will pick welcome you at the terminal and transfer to the hotel.

Day 2: Drive by 4×4 jeeps to Chitral through over the scenic Lawari passes and continue driving towards Chitral.

Day 3: Drive to Mastuj, passing through the picturesque valleys and villages with commanding view of Trich mir, the highest peak in Hindukush range.

Day 4 to Day 7: During the day enjoy the polo match and evening local music and dancing.

Day 8: Drive to Gilgit, passing through the lush green valleys of punial, sherqila and visit the 7th century Ad Buddha rock carving at Kargha near Gilgit.

Day 9: A quick visit can also be arranged to the valley known for longevity and healthy communities. (Hunza Valley)

Day 9: Journey back to Islamabad via Besham or BabuSar top towards, through the Karakuram high way along the mighty Indus river and enjoy the magnificent views of Nanga Parbat, 8125 meters.

Day 10: Drive back to Islamabad, passing through the scenic Abbottabad and Mansehra valleys.

Day 11: Transfer to Airport for your international flight back home.
