The snow covered high rise mountain peaks and huge glaciers provide waters to form the Indus river. Since time immemorial, the locals have been crossing Indus on a raft made of animal skin and wood planks. Mr. Lietner (The Gilgit Game) the first foreigner also crossed Indus on a raft back in the 19^th century. It is unique, safe but very adventurous.
