Gilgit Tours

Gilgit is the capital city of the Gilgit-Baltistan Province of Pakistan, known for its beautiful mountains, lakes and valleys. The city is located in a broad valley near the confluence of the Gilgit River and Hunza River. It is a major tourist destination in Pakistan, and serves as a hub for trekking and mountaineering expeditions in the Karakoram & Himalaya Ranges. The town was once a Buddhist centre, having any remains of that era. It was an important stop on the ancient SilkRoad, and today serves as a major junction along the Karakoram Highway with a road connection to China and bridle track to Central Asian States. Its economy is mainly mining of minerals/ gem stones, fruits and livestock.

Hunza is one of the mountainous Valleys in the Gilgit-Baltistan Province, situated in the extreme northern part on Karakoram Range, bordering with the Wakhan Corridor of Afghanistan and the Xinjiang region of China.

Khunjerab Pass located at an altitude of 15,397 ft, is a high mountain pass on the northern Boarder of Pakistan and south west border of Xingjian region of China. It is accessible from Hunza via Karakoram Highway while passing though Attabad Lake, Gulmit, Passu & last town of Passu.

Itinerary:

Day 1 Pick up from Gilgit airport and drive to Karimabad Hunza. Stop at Rakaposhi view point visit Baltit fort

Day 2 Visit Altit fort, Eagle Nest and Karimabad village Gannish village

Day 3 Drive from Karimabad to Attaabad lake Gulmit Village Hussaini Suspension Bridge Borit Lake

Day 4 Drive from Karimabad to Gilgit visit Chinese Graveyard Suspension Bridge and Rock Carving

Day 5 Visit Kargha Buddha Rock and NLI Market and Gilgit city

Day 6 Fly back to Islamabad
